Submission of a full paper is mandatory.
Each presentation at SheMet 2027 must be supported by a paper submitted for inclusion in the conference proceedings.
The SheMet 2027 proceedings will be published as an issue of Materials Research Proceedings, published by MaterialsResearchForum LLC. All papers will be published Open Access.
Proceedings of SheMet 2023 and SheMet 2025.
Materials Research Proceedings is currently indexed by Scopus, Google Scholar, Inspec database, CAS, and other databases.
Full paper peer reviews are mandatory for all contributions to be accepted and published in the proceedings. Accordingly, the announced schedule must be followed strictly. No extensions will be granted for paper submission deadlines.

Every paper has to be written in excellent English
All papers must be written in MS Word
Every paper has a length of either 6 or 8 pages using the formatting of the template
All papers will have to include three keywords. The first two of these will have to be chosen from the CIRP Unified Keyword List

Eligibility: MSc, PhD students and early-career researchers who obtained their PhD within the last 3 years
Participation: Authors are automatically considered for the award upon submission of a paper as first author
Selection process: The decision will be made based on the reviewing results
The winner will be announced during the conference

Authors must upload an abstract (200 words) in PDF format. The template must be strictly followed.
The abstracts must be submitted by selecting the option “Full Paper” or "Technical Note”.

Authors of accepted abstracts must upload the Full Paper (4 to 6 pages) or Technical Note (max. 2 pages) in PDF format and its signed licence agreement form, using their account in the SAGA submission platform of MATEC Web of Conferences (EDP Sciences).
Full Papers – Aimed at providing detailed information about an innovative contribution to the advancement of science and technology that includes detailed information about the methods and techniques utilized and a description and interpretation of the results with identification of the most significant findings.
Technical Note – Aimed at providing a brief description of an innovative contribution to the advancement of science and technology in the main conference topics, or the presentation of new findings and insights related to an already published work.
Only Full Papers may be selected for publication in an international Journal.

Each oral presentation will take 20 minutes including discussion.
The files required for the presentation (PowerPoint or PDF) should be uploaded, and tested to ensure compatibility, during the coffee or lunch breaks before the beginning of the session.
The lecture rooms contain a Windows PC, with Office and Acrobat PDF Reader, connected to a data projector. The use of personal computers is not recommended.
Technical support will be provided on-site by the International Deep Drawing Research Group (IDDRG) staff to ensure a smooth delivery of all presentations.
